Just a few NY Resolutions

One of my first new year resolutions is to act more like a lady. Yes I know this is a weird one, but when with my ladies we like to play up and be loud. This often involves me getting certain objects and pretending I have a penis, and saying "WHAYY" way to loudly. So this year, I would like to be more of a girl.

Another one of my new year resolutions is to save money, last year I was terrible, buying lots of stuff I don't need, and I have never used. I want to be more sensible on what I spend my money on, and would also like to pay of my cards.

This is a funny kind of resolution, but this year I do not want to get in a relationship, I have been in a relationship constantly for the last four years, bar one month between break up, and sticked with it even thought I was not happy, just so I had a boyfriend. Now I think about it, what is the point in being in a unhappy relationship, when I can just have fun and spend more time with my friends. Simple.

This is my most important resolution, and the one I am going to try my hardest to stick to. Is to eat more healthy and lose weight. I've said for the last few years I will do this, but never have, and I feel if I don't actually do it this year, I am never going to. So fingers crossed.

Last but not least is to attend more gigs/shows, last year I hardly went to any compared to the year before. As I will be saving money from buying utter shit, I will hopefully be able to put it toward going to many more shows. I have already got a few planned with my babe Victoria, so I am pretty excited for that.

What are your New Year Resolutions this year?

Christmas comes but once a year, and so does your Birthday!

Just a little post filling your guys in on my Christmas/Birthday, as a lot of you know my birthday is on christmas day, so I have two things to celebrate at this time of year. I had a lovely Christmas day, had my nan and step granddad over for Christmas dinner, after dinner they stayed for a little bit longer before setting off home leaving us to relax. Spent the rest of the day watching Christmas tv and chilling out with my parents. On boxing day we literally watched the movies we all got for xmas back to back, then today we took the girls out for a little walk. Once back I had a lovely christmas themed bath with some gorgeous Lush goodies and I am now doing some designing for Vibe Clothing.

Has everyone else had a lovely Christmas?

Dear Diary ...

I have been so naughty recently, as I have just not blogged in so long. I just feel like I have been so busy, and when I've not been busy I have not felt myself. After breaking up from uni last week, I have been non stop designing. I am looking to launch a new line of t-shirts in the beginning of 2012, I am in the middle of sorting out models and photographers, but I would really like to do a shoot around Oxford then one maybe in London. So my focus has been majority on doing this, and my ladies.

Apart from designing I have just been up to the normal stuff, friends, cinema, nights out and shopping. Nothing overly exciting. I have been working a little more too, just to get a little bit more money, and as I am hoping to increase my contract come new year. Other then the boring normal stuff it is of corse the lead up to Christmas. I really can not believe how fast this year has gone, and yes I am another year older come Christmas Day, just a tad depressing.

Hows everyone else's holidays going? All prepared for Christmas?

P.s. Oh also have a question for you lovely ladies, I having problems designing a font on Photoshop, does anyone have any tips? or sites to buy for a brand?

NEC - Clothes Show Live

The one bad thing about this post is I forgot my camera on the day, and dropped my iPhone which resorted in the screen smashing, so was pretty hard to take pictures while I was at the Clothes Show, but I thought you lovely lot might want a nose at want I got my hands on as the show.

The first thing I managed to get my hands on when we got there was some Models Own, we all got a little to excited when we saw there massive stand at the show. The deal they was doing on the day was buy 3 nail varnishes for £10 and receive a free goody bag, I quickly grabbed the colours above, Pink Lady, Black'n'Red and Aciiied. The goody bag was really good that you got free, must be worth over £25 as you can see in the photo above.

My other favourite bargains are the Illamasqua products, they had an amazing offer of any three items for £10, so I picked up a couple of there cream blushes, which normally retail at £16 and a pure pigment too.  I have only really used there lip gloss, which I wasn't really a fan off, so I'm pretty excited to try out these bits.

I also managed to stock up on Carmex, at the beginning of the day they had the offer of 1 for £2 or 2 for £3. But after thinking about it when walking around, I came back they was selling them all off for 2 for a £1, so I got tonnes :).

On the way out of the event after we had watched the catwalk show, which I must say was brilliant, lots of hot topless male models, is there anything bad about that? We all went to a bag stall which we had saw when we first came in, I ended up buying the bag above, which is a small backpack. I had seen some really cute studded ones about on 'WeHeartIt' and Tumblr, so quickly grabbed this one. I then started too stud it last night, unsure whether to add a few more though, or maybe even some spikes.

All in all it was a really nice day, bar smashing the screen on my phone. Got to see lots of great make up,  fashion and accessory brands, and also the gorge Kirk from TOWIE.

Did anyone else attend the Clothes Show, What did you make of the day?

Long time due!

Yes, I've been so lame for the past couple of weeks. The first week I had a hand in, so was at uni till late and panicking about my work. So this week, being a nice and chilled out one I have just not wanted to do nothing, I just really haven't been motivated to blog at all, I did record two videos, the first one I hated my hair, the second one was to long to upload, so I just gave up on that too.

So this post is just a few little clips on what I have been up to :)

Hows everyone else week been?

London Christmas Blogger Meet

Saturday just gone I was lucky enough to attend the London Christmas Blogger Meet, which was kindly organised by the lovely Emma and Laura. It was held in a cute little bar near Piccadilly Circus, so after getting there ridiculously early I had a little wonder around the shops close to the venue, without realising I can not afford anything in the stores.

Once in the venue we was lead downstairs to a lovely christmas decorated room, in which lots or people started to show up. As we all took a seat I was lucky enough to be surrounded by PujaDaisySusuanaHelen and Amy. When we was settled we had the great privilege of talks from Anna at MaggieAngus, Faye at Wired Jewellery and Sarah from Lush LTD, which I will so a separate post on each of the speakers later this week. Once over we was then handed so many goodies, which made me feel utterly spoiled.

All in all it was a lovely day, and for my first blog meet up I couldn't have been any happier on how well it was, and love meeting some lovely ladies too.

How was your first blog meet up experience?

Oh Yeah Baby!

Just a little post to make a monumental moment for me, this ladies is my first ever finished textile design, and I must say I am a little proud of myself. I had never used Photoshop before and after just three weeks of learning (only 2 days a week) I am finally beginning to get the hand of it.

It is just a test one for our first project, as we are creating a border to then take to the print rooms and to start using Devore and Screen Printing. Hope you guys like it :)

The real loves of my life.

Just a random post of my little babes, I have been trying over the last week to get some nice pictures of them, but being puppies they just never stay still. I've got the odd one, but only when they are on there own, and I would love a little cute one of the both of them. But I think thats just going to be impossible.

Had a really nice evening on Saturday also at my friends Lauren, there was lots of food and fireworks, and some lovely mulled wine. Yum yum yum.

Also are any of you lovely lot attending either the London Blogger Meet or Handpicked Media Social this month?

Jibber Jabber - my first video

So after thinking about making a video for a long time I have finally got my butt into gear and done one. I was going to start of by doing a nice and easy October Favourites, but then as it is my first video I thought I could throw in a few all time favourites too, along with many awkward faces.

Would love to hear people feedback, whether its good or bad, always nice to know.

Spoookkkkyyy!

Just a little catch up for my dearies, last weekend as you know it was Halloween weekend, I went out with Danielle and Victoria just to 02. Then the rest of the week I have just been at uni and doing some little crafty bits at home.

As for that I have also started my Christmas shopping, and successfully nearly finished. Along the way I have treated myself to a few bits too, along with these MAC bits, which i'll swatch and review later one.

I was also debating doing a monthly favourites video, but still a little unsure about videoing myself, would anyone be interested in watching it?

Sunday Rambling

Today has been a proper lazy Sunday for me, all I have really done is a little bit of painting and cuddling Honey and this little beauty Foxeè. I have got the excuse that I'm not very well, and pretty close to my voice being completely gone.

Saying that it was extra nice not going out drinking last night, like I have for the last three weeks. Instead Lauren, Chloe and me went to a late showing at the cinema to see 'Real Steel', which was really good. We didn't get out the cinema until 1.30am and ended up running to the car pretending to be fighting robots, I blame the tiredness.

So now its nearly Monday again, which means back to reality, and to try and focus a little more on uni. As last week I really wasn't feeling it at all. I really enjoy uni but recently i've been having second thoughts of whether its the right thing to do? Or does everyone feel that at one point in there uni years?

Hope you beautiful lot have had a lovely weekend? What have you been up to?

Not For The Easily Offended

This book is possibly one of the best books i've bought in a long time, offensive crafts, does it get better then that. I've always been a fan of cross stitch and anything that can make something a little more fun is worth the time.

The book is full of great one liners, pretty flowers and hearts. It also has an A to Z in cross stitch in the back so your able to come up with your own great inventions. The one above is one I copied out of the book, but since messing about with the different patterns and letters. I'm starting to make my own individual ones, I think there great to frame and dot around your room.

Sorry this post is a bit random, but I think its great to include some different things on blogs that are not just fashion or make up related.

What quirky crafts have you gotten into recently?

This is not a music blog but...

I've had this idea for a while now, but just never got round to doing it. I'm not doing it as a review or what you should be listening to, pure reason to everyone likes different music. But I am going to let you guy in on some of my all time favourite tracks. Believe me when I say these are only a select few and if it goes down well I will be doing these posts more regularly.

I have quite a wide taste in music so there is a little bit of selection even though you'll notice todays post is a little more Pop-Punk then anything else. So here it goes :)

A Day To Remember - The Plot To Bomb The Panhandle.
This band bring back a hell of a lot of good memories for me, was possibly one of my first gigs I went to in London. Also for those who follow my Tumblr you might notice my URL are lyrics from this song.

Head Automatica - Beating Hearts Baby
This song for me, just makes me want to go a little wild. Reminds me of nights out in London and Birmingham with my girls. It's such a catchy tune too.

You Me At Six - Gossip
Well what can I say, hot guys and catchy songs, does it get better? Always been a dedicated fan of YMAS remember it was one of the first gigs in Oxford I went too, and paid only a fiver to see them and KIGH. Much prefer there older stuff so if your a new fan, check it out.

Sara Bareilles - Gonna Get Over You
I think this lady has to be my guilty pleasure, both her albums are amazing. Such good songs to sing along to, specially really loud in your car ;). Most people would know of her from her song 'Love Song', but I would totally recommend checking out the rest of her stuff.

Hit The Lights - Her Eyes Say Yes
Yes I know if you've just listened to this song, the lyrics are a bit sick, but you got to admit its such a good track. This band are possibly the best band i've seen to date, they just put on such a good show, there just so full or energy.

Say Anything - Alive With The Glory Of Love
Last but not least is Say Anything, this song just gives me goosebumps still after how many years of playing it. I could never get bored!

Hope you've enjoyed my selected tracks, what are your thoughts on this post?

Would you like to see another one?

Also if you think of a song I would like, totally send it my way :)

SMASHBOXXXXX

So the other day I finally gave in and subscribed to Elle, as I buy it most months. I've never really been a fan of Elle before, but after starting uni it is a really good magazine for tear sheets and to get inspiration. Also not to mention the great offer then had going, I only noticed the offer on the last day so it isn't available anymore.

I signed up to to Elle for a great £18.00 for the year, which is a massive saving, and I also received these great Smashbox products. As I was yet to try Smashbox I thought it was a great opportunity to grab a few bits and try them. In the picture above I did wear the Under Eye Illuminator, but as you can see throughout the day it has kind of worn away.  As for the other items I received I have only really tried the Powder Eye Liner, and that was only on Saturday night.

What items do you recommend from Smashbox's collections?

Beetle Juice!

Yet again I have gone nearly a week without blogging. Never knew my second year at uni would start off so mental, as with working and trying to see friends too, I'm just shattered. I did have a lovely weekend though, a few friends and I went out down Cowley Road and then come back to mine, then we had a picnic in the garden on saturday and watch movies.

As for today I went into uni for the morning, when I sketched the drawings above. Then was told I needed more things to draw in which go with my concept and a load of other things, which confused me. So in the end I've come home bought some dvd's and I am now have a snuggle in bed watching 'She's out of my League' .

What have you lot been up to this week? Also recommend me some good movies to buy, i'm running out of ideas :)

Back to Business

I have not blogged in about a week I think, as i've been so busy with uni. This is my first week back and my first week studying my specialism subject, and I must say its harder then I thought. Don't get me wrong i'm really enjoying it, ands its so nice getting back in the creative mood! Then again it is scary that I have one more year left after this, and if this year goes as fast as last year, it will be over before I know it.

Other then the vast amount of work, it has been so lovely seeing all the girl's. We went to Nandos this afternoon to celebrate Ginni's birthday, as its her 21st on Sunday, and it was just so nice to hang out. Missed them lots.

Hows everyone else's week been? Students enjoying being back at uni?

Saturday Portrait

Just a little update, right now I'm in Southend, celebrating my other halves 22nd birthday. Yesterday we went into Southend to do a bit of shopping, I got a few bits of make up and that was about it :). Got the free nude palette that 17 are giving out if you buy any two items from the 17 range. Other then that I really haven't been upto much, we just went to Asda this morning to get a few bits for a BBQ later on and then chilling out for the rest of the day!

How's everyone else's weekend going?

What I have been up to!

So in all honesty I totally forgot to do a little summery of my week, and what I have been up to. I didn't really do much in the week as I had work, and that always makes me super sleepy. Then for the weekend I met up with my BFFS Dano and Vic, as I hadn't seen them for a while, and they jetted off to Ireland yesterday for a week, so we had a lovely catch up. Then on Sunday I spent most of my day being lazy and painting some nail sets I got in the post.

How was everyone else's weekend? Hope you all had fun :D

Updated Storage

As you can see I have gone a little storage mad recently, this is only because a few months ago I decided I wanted some new furniture in my bedroom, seen as the furniture I had was like a million years old. I decided to go with dark woods, to get more of a warm feel, so I purchased all my draws and wardrobes and carried on looking for shelfs and a desk/dressing table.

It was only last week I decided I just needed to sort out my desk, with my make up all about my room, and collecting dust sitting on the side it was getting too much. I decided to just go for this cheap Argos desk, at only £49.99. It's perfect for what I wanted, and much smaller from what I had before so makes my room feel a lot bigger. What I love about this desk is the little draws at the side, as you can see I have bought some metal organisers (from Wilkison) for the draws so I can organise my make up in them, to keep it looking neat. I have also got a cute plastic tumbler from Asda for all my brushes/tweezers/scissors.

I also got a new bookcase in the dark wood, so I would match with the rest of my room, and even after filling up that and one of my old bookcases which I stained darker, I have yet again ran out of space for my DVD's. So I seriously need some other ideas on how to store them, if anyone has any?

Anyways, I am finally content with how my room looks, the only thing left to buy is a nice comfy chair for my desk, but I'm not in any rush :D

How do you store your make-up?
