Day of the Dead

After seeing these beauties on lush.co.uk I couldn't wait to pop in a get a couple of bits. I was only going to get one of the bath bombs but after a natter to the shop assistant I ended up getting some of the Lady Catrina soap to try too. The sent of the halloween collection is just amazing, smells of lime and lemon which is just so refreshing, and as you can tell I am extremely excited to have a nice relaxing bath with these goodies this evening.

While I was in Lush too, I had a gander at the Christmas collection, but there is just so much of it I just can't decided what ones to try, so I defiantly recommend having a nose in there at the moment, so many lovely new products to try.

It's all about the blush

MUA - Shade 6, Sleek Blush in Pomegranate, Mac Shimmer Tone Blush in Breezy

I only realised the other day while applying my MAC blusher that it was quite similar to a couple of others that I had purchased the last couple of months. The first one I find is quite similar to is Shade 6 from the MUA range, retailing at only £1.00. This shade is  a little darker and more pink undertones then MAC's Breezy, but for a fraction of the price you can't really complain. The other blush that comes up close to MAC's is Sleeks blush in Pomegranate, this yet again had slightly more pink undertones then Breezy and yet again compared to MACs price of £17.00, the sleek blush comes in at a dead cheap £4.99.

Even though each of these blushes are great shades and two are extreme bargians I would really recommend the MAC one, as they are just amazing, they have a great shimmer to them and also last all day.

What other brands do you recommend?

So as you can tell I've been back to blogging a bit more recently, and I blame being very ill. I've been to the doctors twice already this week, and not to uni at all. One of the good things about being ill and off uni is spending my days with these little buggers, they look after me and give me cuddles to make me better.

Poudre Visage

I've had this product for a while now, and hadn't even opened it. I purchased it on ASOS.com for I think it was just under £8.00 in the sale. The packaging is just gorgeous, as are all of Paul & Joe's products, plus the little compact is just to die for too and comes with a mirror. I really like the colour/tone of the face colour, and makes the perfect contour kit.

What do you think of Paul & Joe?

Sunday Rambling

Today has been a proper lazy Sunday for me, all I have really done is a little bit of painting and cuddling Honey and this little beauty Foxeè. I have got the excuse that I'm not very well, and pretty close to my voice being completely gone.

Saying that it was extra nice not going out drinking last night, like I have for the last three weeks. Instead Lauren, Chloe and me went to a late showing at the cinema to see 'Real Steel', which was really good. We didn't get out the cinema until 1.30am and ended up running to the car pretending to be fighting robots, I blame the tiredness.

So now its nearly Monday again, which means back to reality, and to try and focus a little more on uni. As last week I really wasn't feeling it at all. I really enjoy uni but recently i've been having second thoughts of whether its the right thing to do? Or does everyone feel that at one point in there uni years?

Hope you beautiful lot have had a lovely weekend? What have you been up to?

Not For The Easily Offended

This book is possibly one of the best books i've bought in a long time, offensive crafts, does it get better then that. I've always been a fan of cross stitch and anything that can make something a little more fun is worth the time.

The book is full of great one liners, pretty flowers and hearts. It also has an A to Z in cross stitch in the back so your able to come up with your own great inventions. The one above is one I copied out of the book, but since messing about with the different patterns and letters. I'm starting to make my own individual ones, I think there great to frame and dot around your room.

Sorry this post is a bit random, but I think its great to include some different things on blogs that are not just fashion or make up related.

What quirky crafts have you gotten into recently?

This is not a music blog but...

I've had this idea for a while now, but just never got round to doing it. I'm not doing it as a review or what you should be listening to, pure reason to everyone likes different music. But I am going to let you guy in on some of my all time favourite tracks. Believe me when I say these are only a select few and if it goes down well I will be doing these posts more regularly.

I have quite a wide taste in music so there is a little bit of selection even though you'll notice todays post is a little more Pop-Punk then anything else. So here it goes :)

A Day To Remember - The Plot To Bomb The Panhandle.
This band bring back a hell of a lot of good memories for me, was possibly one of my first gigs I went to in London. Also for those who follow my Tumblr you might notice my URL are lyrics from this song.

Head Automatica - Beating Hearts Baby
This song for me, just makes me want to go a little wild. Reminds me of nights out in London and Birmingham with my girls. It's such a catchy tune too.

You Me At Six - Gossip
Well what can I say, hot guys and catchy songs, does it get better? Always been a dedicated fan of YMAS remember it was one of the first gigs in Oxford I went too, and paid only a fiver to see them and KIGH. Much prefer there older stuff so if your a new fan, check it out.

Sara Bareilles - Gonna Get Over You
I think this lady has to be my guilty pleasure, both her albums are amazing. Such good songs to sing along to, specially really loud in your car ;). Most people would know of her from her song 'Love Song', but I would totally recommend checking out the rest of her stuff.

Hit The Lights - Her Eyes Say Yes
Yes I know if you've just listened to this song, the lyrics are a bit sick, but you got to admit its such a good track. This band are possibly the best band i've seen to date, they just put on such a good show, there just so full or energy.

Say Anything - Alive With The Glory Of Love
Last but not least is Say Anything, this song just gives me goosebumps still after how many years of playing it. I could never get bored!

Hope you've enjoyed my selected tracks, what are your thoughts on this post?

Would you like to see another one?

Also if you think of a song I would like, totally send it my way :)

SMASHBOXXXXX

So the other day I finally gave in and subscribed to Elle, as I buy it most months. I've never really been a fan of Elle before, but after starting uni it is a really good magazine for tear sheets and to get inspiration. Also not to mention the great offer then had going, I only noticed the offer on the last day so it isn't available anymore.

I signed up to to Elle for a great £18.00 for the year, which is a massive saving, and I also received these great Smashbox products. As I was yet to try Smashbox I thought it was a great opportunity to grab a few bits and try them. In the picture above I did wear the Under Eye Illuminator, but as you can see throughout the day it has kind of worn away.  As for the other items I received I have only really tried the Powder Eye Liner, and that was only on Saturday night.

What items do you recommend from Smashbox's collections?

Lean Back!

So this weekend, was yet another busy and wild one. On Saturday night I went out for a drink for Joshs leaving party then Victoria, Lauren, Scott and me went to Wahoo for some more drink and dancing, was so funny! The club was full of odd balls and couple basically getting down and dirty on the dance floor, which is always good for a laugh.

Then on Sunday Lauren and me went to Reading as I needed to take my mac book to the Apple store, and we also went to Wagamamas for dinner which was yummy.

Then today I had to go and collect my laptop and thought I'd have another nose round the shops too, I was abit naughty as I should have gone to uni, but miss my laptop too much.

Did you have a good weekend?

Beetle Juice!

Yet again I have gone nearly a week without blogging. Never knew my second year at uni would start off so mental, as with working and trying to see friends too, I'm just shattered. I did have a lovely weekend though, a few friends and I went out down Cowley Road and then come back to mine, then we had a picnic in the garden on saturday and watch movies.

As for today I went into uni for the morning, when I sketched the drawings above. Then was told I needed more things to draw in which go with my concept and a load of other things, which confused me. So in the end I've come home bought some dvd's and I am now have a snuggle in bed watching 'She's out of my League' .

What have you lot been up to this week? Also recommend me some good movies to buy, i'm running out of ideas :)

XOXO
